Current State of Affairs
Well, hello there!
It's been a while hasn't it? A lot's happened since I last made a blog post, so let me catch you up on everything that's been going on.
First of all, Eradication is out! Both digital and print copies are available for purchase on Amazon, and free to read for subscribers to Kindle Unlimited.
Some of you may remember a previous post in which I said that I was going to go "wide" with my books and publish through other retailers (iBooks, Nook, Kobo). After a trial, I just wasn't getting any sales (2 in all the time I advertised and promoted). So I've decided that while I still have aspirations for going wide, I think it is best for my career to use the benefits of the Kindle Unlimited program while I'm still building my library.
Second, production on the audiobook version of Containment is finished! It was narrated by Benjamin Bladh, and is currently under final quality checks before becoming available on Audible. I'll make an announcement when it is.
Third, sales are going well. I recently started advertising on Facebook in addition to Amazon, and as it turns out, Containment is actually pretty popular in England! As of writing this, Containment is ranked #8,950 in the entire UK Amazon store, and #87 in the top 100 Conspiracy Thrillers:
Ain't that something?
Finally, I have started working on the last piece of the Containment world, a short story titled Zero: A Containment Story, set at the beginning of the original outbreak in a small West Texas town. For those of you subscribed to the newsletter, I will automatically send this out free. New subscribers will get the story as well. It will be included as a bonus in the forthcoming box set of the entire series in a couple weeks. Finally, it will be available on Amazon as a standalone purchase, and will probably be priced at either $0.99 or $1.99, depending on how long the story ends up being.
That's it for now. If you haven't done so already, please head over to Amazon and leave a review for Eradication. I can't tell you enough how much the social proof helps in getting my books in front of new readers.
Until next time...
